MONITOR

2016-06-06 HERO VIRO 519

A screen, also known as a display screen, is an electrical appliance used to display images and colors. The screen size is calculated according to the diagonal of the screen, usually in inches. At present, the mainstream size is 17", 19", 21", 22", 24, 27", 32", etc., which refers to the length of the diagonal of the screen. Common display screens include standard (narrow) and widescreen, with a ratio of 4:3(and a small proportion of 5:4), and 16:10, 16:9 and 21:9 for widescreen. With a certain diagonal length, the closer the ratio of width to height is to 1, the larger the actual area will be. Widescreen is more in line with the shape of the eye's visual field.

The word screen apparently came before the monitor, not necessarily electrical, early shadow puppetry, projection screen, etc.

Screen: A white screen, usually glossy white paint, used to show a traditional projection film, which does not glow in itself (this is essential).

A screen, originally a display panel (the front glass panel) that made use of cathode ray tube (CRT) light to produce images, as in early televisions and monitors. The word "ying" also comes from the phosphor coated on the display panel of the CRT system. Later, as television and display technology improved, the term was also used to refer to various electronic light-emitting display panels, although these display devices no longer used phosphors.
